This painting shows the heart piece of Las Olas Boulevard, the main shopping and dining street in Fort Lauderdale. This view is going from east to west and takes the mile where restaurants and shops start to merge with the appartment and banking buildings of downtown. Palms skirt the boulevard which is shown in the morning-sun. The iconic pyramidal building of the Bank of America building is the catching point of the skyline, which is framed by the Icon Las Olas Appartment Building on the left and the new Veneto Las Olas Appartment Building on the right. Besides architecture and palm trees there is one gimmick in that picture: A Porsche shown from the front and its back, symbolising the jet set of wealthy and successful people who love this spot and want to see and being seen in the stylish bars and restaurants.
